We set out yesterday leaving Ouachita National Forest heading to Texas to our first Harvest Host winery.

When we arrived at the winery we were pleasantly surprised at the welcome we received from the owner.

She helped us to get all set up next the Vinyard and invited us in to try some of their award winning wines. The winery has many different types of wines and she took the time to find out what we liked and let us try them.
I was impressed by all 4 that I tried, but there was one that I had never had before and it was Amazing. It was a blueberry wine. We are now going home with 3 bottles of this amazing wine.
After all the customers left for the night, she invited us to move our camper down closer to the store and plug in so we didnt have to use our generator to run the air conditioner. Texas is HOT in June and this was greatly appreciated.

Then they went home and we had the whole place to ourselves for the night. More beautiful night skys and peaceful surroundings to relax and unwind.

We are very excited for the owners of this winery. They have been closed for 3 months due to covid 19 and tonight is their grand reopening. We wish we could stay and help them celebrate, but it is time for us to get home. We know that they are going to have a great night tonight.
They have put in a lot of work remodeling their property for the grand reopening and it looks spectacular.

Today we will be heading home to South Texas. Have to go to work on Monday. We are sad our 2 week adventure is ending, but we know there are many more adventures in our future. We are already planning several long weekends throughout Texas at State Parks, campgrounds and other Harvest Host.
Please like, comment, follow, and share your adventures.
Welcome to freedom and living the dream!
